[open] Promising Explorers also producing strong share gains as their discoveries expand
Review of Goliath, Snowline, Dolly Varden Silver and new pick Firefly Metals.
In 2024 / 2025 Resourceful Insights has released profiles for explorers selected for their promising prospects for significant discovery of precious metals deposits.
PROMISING EXPLORERS
While share price performance has been strong for the Growing Producers and Emerging Producer cohorts , two explorers covered by Resourceful Insights have handily beat the GDX index.
Goliath Resources (GOTRF, +143%) has largely recovered from its February selloff — with news from its greatly enlarged 60,000 meter drilling campaign soon to come and likely to cause some further excitement. Already it is reporting visible gold from a very deep 1000m+ drill whole now underway, and significant indications of gold from its recent assays of gold bearing dikes. Expect updated coverage on Goliath soon.
Snowline Gold (SNWGF, +105%) kept pace with GDX but very recently has been bolstered with the heaviest upsurge in trading since 2022. Its currently trading at a total share valuation that is just 25% (hint hint) of the NPV of its recent PEA (at US $ 3,000 gold)
Dolly Varden (DVS, +33% ) also continues to make steady share price gains, as it presses forward with its energetic exploration of its high-grade silver and silver gold systems. Dolly’s share price valuation is also supported by their recent massive addition of highly prospective Golden Triangle exploration acreage
Soon to be profiled new pick, Firefly Metals (MNXMF, +42%) has made steady progress in advance of its resource update later expected in 2025 for its growing copper-gold resource in Newfoundland’s ‘Green Bay’ district. Resourceful Insights believe from its research that bright prospects are in store.
Resourceful Insights more recent coverage of explorer Onyx Gold had lucky timing as the explorer made a promising series of strong intercepts at their Argus North target.
With 3 of 4 early ‘discovery’ intercepts producing 150+ gram meters it may be wise to heed the statistical rule of thumb from project generator Kenorland Resources (see charge and commentary below)..
The share price performance of Onyx (ONXFT, +1121%), given these discovery results at Argus North, plus the benefits of their tight 65 million share equity structure, and their recently announcement of investment by Gold Fields (GFI on NYSE), have really boosted Onyx’s share price.
As the following chart from Kenorland Minerals ( KLDCF ) shows that the majority of 5 million ounce deposits have initial discovery holes with intercepts measuring 134 gram-meters (GT) or more. Thus, the future could statistically be bright for Onyx Gold going forward given its recent trifecta of 150 gram-meter discovery holes.
